Taylor Swift Makes A Statement At Travis Kelce Chiefs Vs Bills Game

Taylor Swift did not participate in the girlfriend Travis Kelce‘s latest Kansas City Chiefs football game.

Swift, 35, was not in attendance as was Kelce, also 35, and the Chiefs played the Cleveland Browns on Sunday, Dec. 15, in the tight end’s native Ohio, according to ESPN.

Swift concluded her Era’s Tour earlier this month, shortly before the trip to Kansas City. The day before the pop star’s 35th birthday, she made a surprise appearance at the local Children’s Mercy Hospital to meet with pediatric patients. There, Swift engaged in conversation, filmed TikToks, posed for selfies and gave away autographs Era’s Tour merchandise.

“We can’t shake it – the excitement, smiles and laughter that filled our halls yesterday when @taylorswift13 visited patients in Kansas City,” read an X message from the hospital’s official account on Friday, December 13. “Thank you and Happy Birthday from all your fans at Children’s Mercy!”

Swift had closed her record Era’s Tour with nine concerts in Toronto and Vancouver. The Canadian shows were her first since her album The Ward of Tortured Poets scored six Grammy nominations.

“You guys did something so amazing over the past few months [with] what you did to embrace The Ward of Tortured Poets“, she gushed on stage in late November. “It really blew my mind. It’s really emotional for me because this album; I wrote it during Era’s Tour.

The 14-time Grammy winner added: “I wrote the album, made the album – everybody tried to keep it a secret from you guys and then announced the album and basically worked really hard to secretly put together a new chapter in Era’s Tour of The Ward of Tortured Poets and we wanted to surprise you with it.”

Swift went on to credit her fans for her Grammy nominations, telling the crowd that the album’s success was due to her fans keeping “that album at No. 1 for almost four months.

In between her history making Era’s Tour concerts in the US and abroad, Swift has caught Kelce’s Chiefs games in person. She has only made it to home games and has often sat with Kelce’s friends and both of their families.

Swift has been an ardent member of the Chiefs Kingdom since she started dating Kelce in the summer of 2023.

“When you say a relationship is public, it means I get to see him do what he loves, we show up for each other, other people are there, and we don’t care,” Swift shared. TIME in her 2023 Person of the Year profile. “The opposite of that is you have to go to extreme lengths to make sure no one knows you’re seeing anyone. And we’re just proud of each other.”

She continued: “Football is great, it turns out. I’ve been missing out my whole life.”

Kelce, a three-time Super Bowl-winning tight end for the Chiefs, is equally in awe of Swift’s career and often visits her Era’s Tour concerts.

“Taylor’s shows are incredible,” he told exclusively Us Weekly in May. “If you haven’t been to them, you should try it.”

Kelce, for his part, showed support at his second concert in Indianapolis last month.
