UPDATE — 12/18/24, 5:29 PM ET: After a journalist claimed that Diddy looked “thinner” at his latest court appearance, an insider said Us Weekly that he is well.
Diddy is “fit, healthy and fully focused on his defense,” confirms the source Us. “He has been very active, remains in good spirits and, as always, was happy to see his children.”
After the rapper’s court appearance on Wednesday, Law and crime reporter Elizabeth Miller said “he just seemed astonishingly thinner, which you’d expect [from him being] inside a federal penitentiary for a few months now.”
She added: “Very different to the luxury lifestyle he lived before, but [he] appeared very noticeably thinner, and perhaps being locked up in detention is starting to weigh on him.”

Sean “Diddy” Combs appeared in court on Wednesday, December 18, where a federal judge warned of any “surprises” in the upcoming trial.
Diddy, 55, and his legal counsel appeared in federal court for a status conference, according to People. Judge Arun Subramanian requested that any updates to the movement plan be discontinued by January 3, 2025 to “avoid any last-minute surprises.”
Diddy will next appear in court on March 17, 2025.
Diddy was indicted by a grand jury in September shortly before he was arrested for sex trafficking, extortion, conspiracy and transportation to engage in prostitution. A 14-page indictment – alleged that Diddy “abused, threatened and coerced women and others around him” for decades.
Diddy denied the allegations and pleaded not guilty to the charges. The disgraced music mogul was remanded in custody at Brooklyn’s Metropolitan Detention Center and denied bail after four separate attempts.

“We are disappointed by the decision to pursue what we believe is an unfair prosecution of Mr. Combs by the United States Attorney’s Office,” Diddy’s attorney. Marc Agnifilo told Us Weekly in September. “Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs is a music icon, self-made entrepreneur, loving family man and proven philanthropist who has spent the last 30 years building an empire, adoring his children and working to uplift the black community. He is an imperfect person, but he is not a criminal.”
The statement continued: “To his credit, Mr. Combs has been nothing but cooperative with this investigation and he voluntarily moved to New York last week in anticipation of these charges. Please reserve judgment until you have all the facts. It is a innocent man’s actions with nothing to hide and he looks forward to clearing his name in court.”
Diddy dropped his latest request for bail earlier this month. According to court documents filed on Friday, December 13, Diddy voluntarily dropped his appeal and will remain at MDC until the trial. The trial is scheduled to begin in May 2025.
